We really like the Brundtland Commission definition; "Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs."
· Improving the local environment
Initiatives that will be funded to improve the quality of life in your local community.
· Sustainable environment resources
The resources and equipment that will be used to improve your environment, such as a water desalinization equipment, an energy star appliance, a solar panel, a small wind turbine, an efficient light system for your small business, et all.
· Environmentally friendly initiatives/projects
The initiatives that are created to improve the
environment, using the implementation of projects such as,
- projects that will improve green spaces (such as parks, play grounds, and
public spaces),
- the use of microfinance tools to fund "green technologies" for small business,
- the use of microfinance to fund "green business",
- community workshops about how to recycle your trash more effectively,
- an efficient lighting system for small business,
- a project that will make a community center obtain energy independence.
- program to optimize the use of car pooling for a local community,
- a project to create incentive for farmers to use compost, et all.
· Partnerships
The agreement between Micro-Empowering and any organization or community member that wants to send us a project or partner with us in the implementation initiatives of an specific project.
· Social entrepreneurship
In our vision, social entrepreneurs are extraordinary individuals who dream up and take responsibility for an innovative and untested idea for social change, transforming the idea into reality.
· Initiatives to improve energy efficiency
All
the initiatives necessary to reduce waist and increase the efficiency from the
existing sources of energy already available to the beneficiaries of our
projects.
· Organizations located overseas
All the not for profit or partner organizations and or social entrepreneurs that are based in countries other than the United States.

International transaction fees
In a case by case study, we might have to include a fee to their project total costs, in order to cover the international banking costs for each transaction (donation received). However this will depend of the contract established between Micro-Empowering Inc. and the organization or entrepreneurs.
· Economies of scale
In microeconomics, economies of scale are the cost advantages that a business obtains due to expansion. They are factors that cause a producer’s average cost per unit to fall as scale is increased.
